SMRT46 and 46D are multi-purpose, lightweight, portable field test sets capable of testing various electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based protective relays, motor overload relays, and similar protective devices.
You can manually operate the SMRT46 and 46D test systems using the new Megger Smart Touch View (STVI) interface. The SMRT46D has this feature built-in, allowing operation without a PC via an intuitive high-resolution graphical touch screen, while the SMRT46 requires an external device.
STVI is a controller equipped with Megger's user interface software. Its large, full-color, high-resolution TFT touch screen allows quick and easy manual, stationary, and dynamic testing using the manual test screen and pre-installed test procedures for the most common relays. Menu screens and function buttons on the touch screen facilitate rapid and straightforward selection of testing functions. Test results can be saved on the STVI for transfer via USB storage or for printing test reports.
Both devices can be fully controlled from a computer using the Advanced Visual Testing Software (AVTS) or RTMS software running on a PC. AVTS is compatible with Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10 and is designed to manage all aspects of protective relay testing with Megger SMRT46.
The test system can also be expanded by adding the required number of voltage-current modules called VIGEN modules for specific testing applications, up to a maximum of three channels. For example, a SMRT46 or SMRT46D with three VIGEN modules provides complete three-phase testing of impedance, directed power, reverse sequence current overload, and other three-phase devices.
