The SPI500 is a powerful and versatile testing system designed to meet the high demands of substation testing. It can perform a wide range of high-current tests, including electronic recloser testing, circuit breakers, fast-acting fuses, and ground fault protection relays.
With the capability to control two SPI500B amplifiers, the system can increase its testing capacity up to three times. Its unique control system ensures precise and reliable testing even under varying load conditions.
The SPI500 offers both manual and automatic control via the Smart Touch View (STVI) interface for easy manual operation, and a PC-based control system for fully automated testing and report generation.
It can test self-powered reclosing devices such as S&C Tripsaver with a single button press. Additionally, it is the most portable test kit for testing circuit breakers up to 600 A or for testing modified ground fault schemes (MDGF).
