The SPI225 is a high-current primary injection testing system suitable for all types of high-current tests required at substations, including overload relay testing, circuit breakers, motor overloads, and current transformers. One SPI225 is designed for testing low-voltage molded case circuit breakers up to 225 A.
The SPI system allows the user to preset a specific current, and the system will generate and regulate the necessary high current. It also features the unique ability to turn on at each zero-crossing of the current for any load, automatically adjusting the trip angle of the output signal. This eliminates DC offset for all types of circuit breakers and removes the need for the user to manually set and adjust the trip angle for different loads and breakers.
