The single-phase relay testing systems SMRT1, SMRT1D, and SMRT1B are standalone devices combining high voltage with high current for testing electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based overcurrent relays, including voltage-controlled, voltage-restriction, and directional relays. They can also test reduced/increased voltage, negative sequence voltage, single-phase impedance, power, directional, synchronizing, auto-synchronizing, current balancing, frequency, voltage/Hz, reclosing relays, thermal, and various other relays (see 'Applications' sections for details).
SMRT1 can be manually operated using Megger's new Smart Touch View (STVI) interface. STVI is the second generation of Megger's automatic/semi-automatic software with a manual user interface. Featuring a large, full-color, high-resolution TFT LCD touchscreen, it allows quick and easy manual, stationary, and dynamic testing via the manual test interface and built-in preconfigured testing procedures for most popular relays. STVI displays measured values such as AC and DC current in amperes, AC and DC voltage in volts, as well as time in seconds and cycles. Depending on the test type, other parameters such as phase angle, frequency, ohms, watts, VA, or power factor/dissipation factor may be shown. Menu screens and touchscreen function buttons facilitate rapid and easy selection of testing functions. Test results can be saved on STVI for transfer to a USB drive or printing reports. The SMRT1D model includes an integrated STVI.
For fully automatic testing, SMRT1 (or SMRT1D) can also be fully controlled via computer using dedicated control software.
