The MS-2A testing kit for automatic circuit breakers and overload relays is one of our most popular testing sets, used by thousands of utility companies, industrial enterprises, and electrical service organizations worldwide.
This relay tester can verify the time delay characteristics of overload relays, motor overload relays, and molded case circuit breakers up to 125 amperes, following the recommended testing procedure for these devices at three times their rated current.
Higher currents are available for short-term testing of the instantaneous disconnection element. For example, the testing kit provides a maximum short-term output current of 750 amperes through a typical molded case circuit breaker rated at 125 amperes.
The MS-2A is ideal for testing ground fault protection devices with window-type current transformers. The NEC 230.95C standard requires verification of the functionality of specific ground fault protection devices during initial installation.
