The ERTS is a durable, compact, lightweight portable device designed for field conditions. It features built-in cable adapters for 14, 19, and 32 contacts. Used with Megger relay testing systems, it simulates three-pole or single-pole operation and re-energization.
The electronic reclosing tester simulator ERTS is designed for connection to Megger MPRT, SMRT, and FREJA 400/500 relay testing systems, facilitating field testing of electronically controlled reclosing devices. It includes cable adapters for the most common relay types such as G&W Viper®, Elastimold® MVR with SEL 351R and SEL 651R, and Cooper Forms 4, 5, and 6.
ERTS provides an interface between the Megger relay testing system and re-energization. It is used to verify both electronic control and electrical operation of re-energization. Three multi-contact connectors offer flexibility for various relay types that ERTS can emulate and test. Megger relay testers supply separate test currents and voltages via an interface unit and monitor individual trip and reclose circuits using the simulator.
Relay testing systems are operated via a software sequence testing screen for relay testing and control (RTMS), simulating fault, malfunction, and re-energization scenarios. Sequence test templates are provided for lockout scenarios with 2, 3, and 4 pulses. The sequence testing can be reprogrammed for single-pole disconnection and re-energization if needed. Different disconnection and re-energization tests can be stored in software memory for recall and testing.
