Product overview The DDA-1600 employs digital signal processing (DSP) technology. Adjustable pulse duration and control of firing angle of the output current. Modular, portable design. Tests a wide range of circuit breakers. Meets NEMA AB-4 testing standards. The DDA-1600 circuit breaker tester combines a proven transformer design with the latest developments in high-current devices and control systems. This new design ensures full compliance with NEMA AB-4 testing requirements. The DDA-1600 is ideal for industrial use, utilities, and testing companies, designed for servicing and testing low-voltage circuit breakers up to 1600 amperes.
This circuit breaker testing device is also equipped with the new digital data acquisition and control system model DDA-1, providing improved output current control and high-precision measurement of the tested breaker.
The DDA-1600 provides a portable, cost-effective high-current source for primary testing, along with all control, measurement, and output capabilities for testing low-voltage circuit breakers in a three-module configuration:
Module 1: Controller and instrument module containing all control circuits and instruments necessary for manual testing of low-voltage circuit breakers. Module 2: Power module containing coarse and fine current control elements, as well as SCR initialization package. Module 3: Output module containing high-current transformer and current sensors. Each module is housed in a durable compact enclosure. The DDA-1600 is supplied with all connecting cables, is easily transportable, and can be connected to the test device via cables or busbar connections.
