The Transformer Ohmmeter MTO106 is a simple, mains-powered device designed for safe and accurate field winding resistance measurements in small power and distribution transformers. It features two channels with measurement ranges and accuracy suitable for most power transformers, reactors, and measurement transformers. The test current can be manually set in five different ranges for transformers of various sizes.
The device is extremely easy to operate, minimizing training requirements. It has one switch for measuring current and a single button to activate the test cycle. It also comes with test leads equipped with Kelvin clips for single connection to the device under test. The test leads are 10 meters (33 feet) long, facilitating testing of transformers installed on poles.
Compact and lightweight, the device is housed in a durable plastic case for true portability. When closed, the case has an IP67 protection class, ensuring the device is always ready for testing even in harsh conditions.
Additionally, the device features an automatic discharge function that de-energizes the transformer winding after each test. The passive discharge function also works if power is lost unexpectedly or if the test or power cord is accidentally disconnected.
