The VLF CR-60HP can be used for testing cables with operating voltages up to 36 kV. The system consists of a control unit and a high-voltage unit. The high testing capacity of 6.5 μF allows simultaneous testing of all three phases at the standardized frequency of 0.1 Hz. Testing of cables and connected switchgear with positive and negative DC currents can be performed by switching to DC mode. In addition to cable and sheath testing, the system can also be used for precise sheath defect detection (in conjunction with a step voltage sensor such as ESG NT).
