EZ-Thump 12 kV features a single-stage capacitor discharge system delivering 500 J at 12 kV. An integrated time-domain reflectometer (TDR) aids in preliminary fault location with low resistance, and the arc reflection method (ARM) is used for high-resistance faults. Additionally, EZ-Thump 12 kV can be used with an acoustic/electromagnetic receiver such as DigiPhone 2 for precise fault location. Sheath testing and sheath fault detection are also supported.
The device includes advanced safety features such as the F-OHM system, which automatically checks grounding correctness and blocks testing if issues are detected. It also has an emergency stop function and key lock.
All functions are controlled via a single rotary knob, and test results are displayed on a bright color screen that is easy to read even in bright sunlight. In automatic mode, settings are automatically adjusted.
