Designed for testing cables with a 0.1 Hz cosine-rectangular voltage according to IEC, IEEE, and CENELEC standards, these testing systems are ideal for verifying the dielectric strength of cables and joints after installation or repair.
These systems have high testing power while remaining compact thanks to the patented voltage waveform shape and power recirculation during polarity reversal. In addition to cable and sheath testing, they can be used for precise sheath defect detection (in conjunction with a step voltage probe).
Three portable systems are available, each with different voltage levels (28, 40, and 60 kVrms):
