It consists of a multifunctional, compact voltage source and a modern partial discharge detector. The TDS testing voltage source can be used for simple low-frequency current tests (VLF) as well as commissioning tests with partial discharge diagnostics in conjunction with a partial discharge detector.
Thanks to the latest 50 Hz tilt technology developed by TDS NT, it is now possible to immediately locate faults in underground cables during actual partial discharge measurement. The 50 Hz tilt technology combines withstand testing with sinusoidal-rectangular VLF (VLF CR) voltage and partial discharge diagnostics using damped AC (DAC) in one unit. This provides an efficient and integrated solution for accurate network infrastructure inventory. Importantly, the partial discharge measurement data obtained via VLF CR or DAC testing voltage can be directly compared with the 50/60 Hz network voltage. This facilitates reliable decision-making.
