The VLF 45 kV sinusoidal tester is a compact sinusoidal VLF testing system with an integrated delta tangent option. It is a valuable tool for commissioning, testing, and condition assessment of medium-voltage cables. This device performs very low frequency (VLF), DC, and sheath integrity tests, as well as sheath fault localization in conjunction with the ESG NT step voltage probe. The VLF 45 kV sinusoidal tester is suitable for both routine testing and complex diagnostics, featuring a multifunctional design with continuous operation.
For sinusoidal, rectangular, or DC voltage testing at 0.1 Hz, the VLF 45 kV device provides improved voltage quality and stability. In case of overcharge, an internal arc fault detector disconnects the test, minimizing cable damage. Up to 1000 measurements can be stored in internal memory, and results can be viewed on the device or uploaded via USB to Easyprot software for report generation.
An additional internal delta tangent test is available, which automatically evaluates results for PE, XLPE, and PILC cables based on insulation and the selected compliance standard.
