Product features include simple testing for quick assessment of lead-acid (VLA and VRLA), nickel-cadmium, and lithium-ion batteries. Both models feature an easy-to-use touchscreen interface and support impedance and discharge testing when used with a load bank. BITE5 allows testing modules up to 200 V, while BITE5 Advanced supports modules up to 500 V. Measurement options include element impedance, element voltage, ripple voltage, ripple AC current, and support current. BITE5 Advanced supports all these tests and offers precise inter-element (strap) resistance measurement. For impedance testing, users can set pass, warning, and fail limits for impedance and voltage. Discharge and recharge tests—only with BITE5 Advanced—record measurements throughout the full discharge or recharge cycle. Trends can be displayed on the device's touchscreen, and results can be downloaded via USB or SD card for further analysis and archiving. Wireless data transfer to Megger PowerDB software is also supported. Both BITE5 and BITE5 Advanced support voltage measurements up to 1000 V DC and 600 V AC, suitable for testing solar combiner boxes and inverter input/output voltages in renewable energy systems. An additional feature of BITE5 Advanced is an RFID tag reader, enabling the device to recognize assets without manual data entry.
