The Fluke 771 is a clamp meter with calibration for measuring small DC signals of 4-20 mA without breaking the circuit, enabling equipment diagnostics without shutdown. It combines basic multimeter functions with clamp capabilities for small current measurements. It allows measuring small DC signals of 4 – 20 mA without circuit interruption and performing diagnostics without shutting down equipment, reducing downtime and preserving productivity. It can also monitor output signals of measurement transducers without breaking the current loop during maintenance, troubleshooting, and automation system repairs. This saves time and prevents critical process stoppages. In the range up to 99.9 mA, the device can also measure signals with currents of 10-50 mA in legacy control systems.
The Fluke 771 features a removable clamp that attaches to the conductor under test and connects via extension cable, allowing for more convenient positioning during measurements. This function is especially useful in hard-to-reach areas. The calibrator has a two-line backlit display showing the measured current in mA and percentage of the 4 – 20 mA range, facilitating quick assessment of equipment performance.
