Product Description The ICMmonitor partial discharge (PD) monitoring system from Power Diagnostix is a compact non-invasive PD monitor for continuous online assessment of the insulation condition of medium and high voltage (MV and HV) objects. The device is primarily used for temporary online monitoring and spot testing:
Power transformers Motors Generators Cable systems The portable ICMmonitor includes a spectrum analyzer, acoustic detector, and a conventional partial discharge monitor in one device. This combination allows for PD measurements even in high background noise environments, such as power transformers at substations or power plants.
Its built-in multiplexer enables scanning of three-phase systems or multiple sensors, and a simple button interface with on-screen menus on the integrated LCD panel makes it incredibly user-friendly.
Display modes include a horizontal bar chart, monochrome phase-resolved partial discharge patterns for defect classification, an oscilloscope-like display showing pulse charges with phase summation overlaid on the applied voltage waveform, and a spectral display showing the frequency spectrum of the received signals.
The Power Diagnostix ICMmonitor is a standalone device that can be used as an autonomous monitoring unit. It features a serial computer interface for trend data download and remote access, such as via local network (TCP/IP) or USB. Special software allows remote device control, data evaluation, and in-depth diagnostics of the acquired data. This software also provides easy access for viewing, comparing, and analyzing stored data.
