Product description Designed for use with DLRO2 (including long wire testing mode) Allows easy and reliable measurement of lightning protection circuit resistance in tall structures Unique lightweight and versatile design, ideal for complex testing tasks Cable reels of two lengths: KC100C (100 m) and KC50C (50 m) Extension of 50 m (KC50E) enables testing up to 200 m in long wire mode with DLRO2 Features lockable connectors with IP68 protection rating Ideal for low resistance testing on wind turbines, railways, and long cables The new long test wires series KC-C are low-current test wire sets for lightning protection of wind turbines. These are upgraded versions of the popular KC series test wires, utilizing the long wire testing mode in the new DLRO2. The ability of DLRO2 to perform tests with a total resistance up to 3.2 Ohms at 1 A means that the new KC-C wire series can be much smaller and lighter than the KC series, significantly enhancing safety when working at height.
Furthermore, the set includes a new KC100C cable reel weighing only 7.6 kg (16.8 lbs), compared to nearly 15 kg (33 lbs) for the KC100 reel.
The KC100C and KC50C measurement wire sets consist of two wires: a short 3 m wire and a long wire on a reel. Each end of each measurement wire has a lockable connector with IP68 protection (after connection). This allows the end terminals to be attached at any point along the measurement wires. The connections are interchangeable with measurement connectors.
